Hands On Design Oopsies Chart Corrections

Each chart is double checked before it ships out…but every once in a while, my ‘human’ shows. A number gets transposed or left off, symbols get reversed, or I just plain copy/paste incorrectly! I’ll keep this space updated as I hear from stitchers & I thank you for your support & patience!

hd-5 Quilt Squared II – The list of required threads incorrectly states that Ethiopia is #219. It is #231. Cardinal is #219 and is one of the required colors for this design.

hd-17 At the Beach – The fish on the left side is charted to be GAST Geranium but should be WDW Pumpkin.

hd-32 April: Year in Chalk – the stitching instruction lists the correct color, Chalk & Ohio Lemon Pie. Other instruction refers to it as Chalk & Avocado.

hd-77 Block Party – Java – the initial print run left the symbol ‘B’ off of the chart color key for the color WDW Cappucino

To the Beach series: The DMC substitute for GAST Chamomile was listed as 3022. DMC 3045 would be a more suitable substitution, Charts affected:

hd-79 Oh Whale, hd-80 A Little Cottage, hd-87 Adjust your Sail, hd-88 Flock Together, hd-92 On Beach Time

hd-79 Oh Whale – Portabella DMC substitute should be 840

hd-100 Hey There Pumpkin – The printer printed the incorrect file for the 1st printing & a few got out. The symbols for the colors did not print correctly. Here is the correct color key.

hd-123 Chalk for the Home: Tulip House – click here for the corrected color key for the smaller Spring design (color key for the larger HOME sampler is correct)

hd-167 A Year of Celebrations – the 1st print run of the charts omitted the 3 GAST colors: Sunflower, Tea Rose & Terra Cotta – AUGUST color Key: the DMC substitution for WDW WaterMelon Punch shows 591 – it should be 891.

hd-178 WOOF Block Party – the charted dog bones along the bottom border do not match up at the 2 ends as charted. Move 1 side up or down depending on where you start.

hd-197 Flower of Winter – The Symbol used in the words along the side of the pincushion was cut off of the color key. That symbol is for Weeks Dye Works Driftwood.

hd-203 Holly St. Nick – the backstitch branches on the holly sprigs below Santa’s feet were left off. Refer to cover image – use the backstitch sprigs from the top row in 1 strand Gunmetal

hd-204 The Santa Key – the holly leaf & berry under the ‘m’ in problem should be scooted to the left one stitch – refer to cover photo

hd-205 Well Rounded – correction for the Autumn sampler pinwheel to coordinate with the cover model. Print here for the correction.

SECRET SANTA news: you will line up the sections of the Secret Santa from chart to chart. Charts 1 & 2 have dark lines marking every 10th grid – do not line these up…line up the outside edges. To avoid confusion, I have removed the darker grid lines from future segments. I have taken care to make the width of overall block line-up.

hd-215 Be A Pineapple: a few yellow buds & backstitch branches were left off the Stand Tall tray in the 1st print run. Print here for the correction.

hd-289 – A Vintage Stitch – Island Breeze Weeks Dye Works floss is incorrectly identified as Robin’s Egg in the backstitch instruction.

2025 Jingle Ball Baubles – the following information was omitted from the Bauble Book

Hey Santa by Hands On Design:

  • Cross-stitch 2 strands over 2 linen threads (2 over 1 square on aida) on 32ct Slate (Fabrics by Stephanie) linen (16ct aida friendly)
  • Stitch Count 69 x 69
  • Stitching details: 3865 – 2 strands Santa’s beard, 1 strand pine needles & ornament hangers, 22 – 1 strand for the star stitches, 413 – Santa eyebrows & mouth.,
  •  Ornament is flat finished on a 4 3/8” round with jpm 586 Christmas Bell solo.

hd-342 – Gather Round the Manger – Model shows Joseph’s coat stitching in shades of green but charted for browns. 3862 should be stitched in 471, 07 should be stitched in 937 to match the cover model (the brown shades also look perfect for an alternate choice). NOTE: 2 small changes to the Christmas Rose garland border to stitch all 3 designs together: Print here for the border correction

hd-347 – Night Light – Cocoa & Grasshopper have identical symbols in the chart.  The colors (brown & green) are used in distinctly separate areas of the chart & are easily discernible.

hd-352 – I’m New Here – Our little bluebird of Happiness is missing his (or her) wing! Print here for bird correction!

‘17th’ - this Block Party series design is still available through your local or online shop as well as my website (the only place for PDF’s).

Stitch as the block pincushion or just the side panel for a stunning piece to display.

My sincere apologies for the charting mishap.

Buttercup IS mentioned 2x in the color key intentionally.

Thank you to the shops that came & continue to support my design work as well as the fabric & thread dyers (& those that cut amazing shapes from wood 😉) that I am fortunate to work alongside.

A big thank you to Yarn Tree for once again hosting Market!

I can’t believe that I finally get to share this s I can’t believe that I finally get to share this special project❤️ - the mystery market release is revealed!

‘I’m New Here’ - not just a baby sampler, we’re calling it a Baby Story - a sweet saying that I was inspired to write not long after we found out that we were going to be grandparents!

The small ornament is perfect for the newly born- I’ve included alternative skin tone palettes for those tiny tootsies as well as an alphabet and numbers for personalization.

Many thanks to @chantelles141 for working behind the scenes with me to create the Baby on Board finishing boards. The DMC palette is also easy to customize.

We did not share any of the design details before market and asked shops to ‘do their thing’ - a great many came home with charts for you!! We thank them for their support!
