My Stitcher’s Heart
Thank you for purchasing My Stitcher’s Heart! This was the very 1st ‘shop club’ piece that I ever designed. It was quite a story in the making. If you have time & need a laugh or two, check out my very 1st FlossTube/YouTube video on my channel – The Hands On Designer.
You can print your tutorial here: My Stitcher’s Heart Tutorial
You can print the hexagon box lining here: Hexagon Box Lining
A few words about the tutorial:
- You will need to gather your usual stitching & finishing supplies: scissor, ruler, cutting mat, lacing thread, etc. You will also need to purchase some batting, cotton fabric, woolfelt, woolfelt ball & craft paint. This is the original tutorial as it was distributed with the shop club. Sources for other items are located in the actual chart.
- If you haven’t already purchased DMC 3328, 926 & 3012 – you will need to for finishing the wax keep & the pincushion.
- I cut all of the woolfelt tomato pincushion toppers for the original kit so there is no template. Practice cutting a circle and then cutting diagonal line into it for leaves. It does not need to be perfect!
- The hexagon box lining PDF will need to be printed on a legal size sheet of paper. It will be cut down to fit inside the box. I suggest printing several copies to have a back up when cutting. You apply it with Modge Podge. It’s a bit like wallpapering but on a much smaller scale.
PLEASE do not share this link and/or tutorial files. I made it available as a benefit to stitchers who purchase the chart. I appreciate your cooperation with this.
I look forward to seeing your finishes – don’t forget to #handsondesign
Enjoy the Stitch
