Love is Kind
Here we are at another wedding Anniversary. I based this year’s complimentary design on what is, I assume, a popular wedding verse from 1 Corinthians: ‘Love is Patient, Love is Kind…’. It was one of the verses that Bill & I chose for our ceremony 31 years ago.
This past Sunday, as we were sitting in church, this particular verse was one of the readings for the day. It was special to hear it as I sat there knowing about this year’s design [these are my gift each year for Bill]. It came to mind that we often hear just the 1st 6 words of that passage…what I quoted above. What I hadn’t heard in a long time was the last parts of the lesson: ‘It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.’ – I was instantly reminded why these past 31 years have been so special.

Ah, this melts my heart, especially because your dad & I were at that wedding on a cold, windy day in Pittsburgh! You two are great parents to our two Iowa grandboys, who are now grown, grand young men. Our best wishes to the two of you! And we have a great daughter & son-in-law!

We just celebrated 45 years in iowa! Love the verse as we had it in our marriage vows. I rewrote it on my card to my husband!
