It’s sunny outside, I have a cup of coffee, a view of my neighbors lovely gardens (gardening=not my forte), Wimbledon on the TV, and everyone is still asleep…this is called ‘me’ time! I was going to stay off the computer today as I spent a loooong day charting & designing yesterday. My husband left for
Road Trip!
I figure I’d better check-in before I hit the road tomorrow morning. I’m heading south to Branson…I’m goin’ to Summer Camp…Cecilia’s Sampler style! I’m joining fellow designing friend, Tracy Horner of Ink Circles. Food, fun, friends, and stitching of course! I’m really looking forward to meeting face-to-face a few of my Facebook friends and teaching
I’ve Been Framed!
Well, it’s about time life returns to “normal”…or at least what passes for it! I don’t do a whole lot of framing any more, but every once in awhile, I get on a framing frenzy. (Or at least, my customers do!) This is a cool project I’m finishing for a stitcher. This is a monthly
Ladybug Picnic!
So, it was snowing last week & today it is 104. That’s the fun weather in NW IA! We are getting ready for company to arrive and the graduation proceedings to begin. Lots of fun, lots of work…I will not move from my stitching chair over Memorial Day weekend, but before then…life is all about
Here we go…
Happy May Day…almost! I was going to wait until tomorrow, but I had a few spare moments and some thoughts I wanted to get out. I have written about my oldest son, Billy. Today I dedicate to Christopher, my “baby”. Chris will graduate High School in a few short weeks, so life has been kicked
What do you do for a living?
Last week, I had to go to the bank to make some changes to my account. (Alas, I no longer “employ” people, so I no longer need certain #’s that are recquired for payroll taxes, etc…) As I was explaining to the banker what I needed to do, the usual question came up when filling
It’s That Time of Year!
Spring…time for blooming tulips (bunnies eating blooming tulips), last minute snow showers (this is NW IA), school activities, graduations & graduation parties…so much & I am thankful for every bit of it! I designed a little something for Wichelt Imports that is featured in their April Newsletter. Any shop that receives the newsletter has a
Happy St. Paddy’s to you!
I always love this time of year, the 3rd weekend in March! For me & about 60 women that live in the area…each year for the last 20+ years, we have gathered in Gretna, NE for our annual stitching retreat. No kids, husbands, cooking or cleaning…just stitching, laughing, and catching up with friends! I started
Sew Many Tools
Happy Monday! As shopowners, designers, and distributors are making their way home from another fun (& hopefully profitable) market – I though I would introduce another of my New Releases. Before I go any further, I do want to thank Norden Crafts Ltd. for taking my new models and charts to show in their room.
Nashville Releases
I really should make the title of this entry – Snow Day. Early this week, the esteemed weathermen were predicting a foot of snow. As each day passed, the predictions lowered. Then…it started snowing. I drove into the bank drive-thru seeing a flake or two & came out the other side to a massive downfall.
