I love when my designs can be finished into something both fun & functional. Design for these specific shapes (mattress style blocks & drums) definitely comes from my childhood love of puzzles: fitting all the pieces together so that pictures line up & meet from one space to the next. Learning to finish these dimensional objects helps many a stitcher to grow in their confidence to tackle all sorts of finishes.
