I love how the bee skeps formed a hexagon! Saturated but soft, this is a lovely Springtime stitch.

Can we talk stand-ups?

I would love to know exactly how many of these types of finishes I did in the late 90's to early 2000s & I'm seeing them everywhere again (including by me!).

There are some great tutorials to Google so I thought I would offer a little picture walk blogpost on my website with a template for these hooties!

You may notice that there is no template for the bottom because I use a tried & true technique that hasn't failed me yet.
- stuff until you are almost filled to the brim
- stand him/her up on a piece of matboard
- draw around the fabric (it may be a little messy looking - that is OK)
- cut out along the lines, test the fit, trim little bits as necessary until it fits 'just' inside the opening
- the 'oval' does NOT need to be perfect (hoo's looking there anyway?!) - this way you will get a good fit and understanding for your stand-up
