I figure I’d better check-in before I hit the road tomorrow morning. I’m heading south to Branson…I’m goin’ to Summer Camp…Cecilia’s Sampler style! I’m joining fellow designing friend, Tracy Horner of Ink Circles. Food, fun, friends, and stitching of course! I’m really looking forward to meeting face-to-face a few of my Facebook friends and teaching a finishing class.
I do have a couple of New Releases to talk about. Wichelt was nice enough to take my models to TNNA Columbus market. I haven’t made a huge announcement because…aack! The covers are not ready! Here’s the rest of MY story…
Peer pressure! I succumbed! I designed these Counted Canvas pieces a number of years ago and taught them in my shop as daylong seminars. I’ve had the originals hanging in my dining room ever since. In my quest to re-do the whole house for one 2-hour graduation party, I put a quilt on that wall. A few of my friends saw the pieces and suggested I formally release them. Here’s the rest of THEIR story…
The kits included 30+ colors of Caron Watercolours of which they used a small amount. See what’s comin’ here? They now want a New Design to use up the remaining thread! Sounds legit. I will be happy to oblige.
The cover story: Models sent to Wichelt. Alternative color choice models just getting stitched & framed at home. Can’t photograph both pieces together when they are in separate states! I’m good, but…

I found this pic while I was cleaning out a drawer. That is me & Billy in profile out at the STARS barn. (Special Troopers Adaptive Riding School). Bill has ridden horses since he was 3. He was about 6 here & a photographer from our local paper followed us around for a few weeks to take pics for an article. I could never handle paparazzi – he would pop up everywere! On the other hand, I got some cool pictures! We are in sillhouette in the barn door looking out at the riding arena. He still rides, but I don’t have to help with his helmet anymore!
I’m off to camp – enjoy!
