No need to check your calendar…I said Hello April & it’s actually April 21st! Such a busy month & lots of happenings on the work & family sides to life – it’s even more fun when the 2 cross over!
Enjoy my picture walk of what’s been happening at ‘Casa Habermann’…
Well Hello There! was one of my Nashville Market releases! It was a different concept for me in that ALL 12 charts are available in the 1 book! So many shops purchased it at market & set up clubs to stitch each month – quick stitches in DMC on white – fun fonts & bold graphics! Just Another Button Company & Fat Quarter Shop amped up the fun with a Well Hello There! subscription series…this way the fun comes to your door automatically with extra little goodies.
Well Hello There! started off as a ‘passion project’ for me…a way to reach younger stitchers – teach & build the stitcher nation even if 1 at a time! The bonus for me was that not only has this attracted those younger stitchers…it speaks to many generations! It’s never too late to sign up!
Bill & I were thrilled when Chris called to say that he & Taylor were coming to our house over the long Easter weekend! I put Chris to work & took full advantage of those Digital Media & Computer Science classes…Saturday was photo shoot day for the upcoming Cool Beans Releases!
Woo hoo! We’ll uncover the middle row next week!
We mixed a little playtime in as well – nice to have female company at our house!
Posed pictures are great…but the memories made in this photo are priceless! Billy joined in on the egg dying fun as Bill prepped his World Famous Nachos! (at least they’re famous in MY world!)
The kids pointed out that we’ve never had an Easter Egg Hunt at this house…so Bill & I pulled the old ‘we’re gonna drop Mom off at home & run for milk at the store after church’ routine. Works every time! It was a beautiful day!
I mentioned Chris is a senior…in just a few short weeks we will be attending ceremonies. Little did I know that nearly 11 years ago when I drove him to tennis lessons, he would play as much & as long as he has. It’s been a long journey…literally a journey around the country to tournaments, camps & more lessons! I would say that everyone in the family has grown from the experience. Chris enjoyed 4 collegiate years at #1 and recently celebrated Senior Day with several teammates. I’m so excited to see what the future has in store for him!
What’s in store for Hands On Design?
MAY: Look for – the next installment of 12 Days, ‘Swans & Maids’, pour another cup…Cool Beans are heading out the door & of course Just Bee: Bee More – all ship in early May – photos start sneaking out next week!
Be on the lookout as well, Hands On Design is collaborating with several shops this year! I’ve created some new club pieces – look for news very soon from Elegant Stitch & Down Sunshine Lane ( & 1 more that I’m not sure I can mention just yet 😉 !!)
That’s my mish mash of info for now…until next time!
Enjoy the Stitch, Cathy
